The story behind Suds & Bubbles

At Suds & Bubbles Laundry Services, we’re more than a place to do laundry. We’re a family-owned business built on hard work, resilience, and a genuine love for serving our community. We believe every customer deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. To us, laundry isn’t just about clean clothes—it’s about making life a little easier for our neighbors and serving others with kindness.

Our journey into the laundry business wasn’t something we originally planned. Alfredo, my husband, spent many years as an Operating Engineer Foreman before a work-related accident forced him to retire earlier than expected. After losing the daily routine and sense of purpose that came with his career, we began looking for a new chapter we could build together. That search eventually led us to Suds & Bubbles. Looking back, what felt like a setback at the time became one of the greatest blessings in our lives.

Today, Alfredo is our Operations Manager and the heart of the day-to-day business. He makes sure our self-service laundry, wash-and-fold service, pickup and delivery routes, and commercial laundry operations run smoothly. If you’ve visited us, you’ve probably seen him helping customers, answering questions, keeping the equipment running, or offering to carry heavy bags of laundry out to a customer’s car. He believes that great service is found in the little things, and he’s always happy to lend a hand.

I’m Karen, and my role is mostly behind the scenes. Before entering the laundry business, I taught English at Claremont High School, and today I also work as a Realtor. At Suds & Bubbles, I handle the bookkeeping, marketing, customer communication, planning, and all the details that help keep our business moving forward.

Our greatest motivation is our four kiddos, our three beautiful daughters-in-law, and our six AMAZING grandkids. They’re the “why” behind everything we do. And like most family businesses, everyone rolls up their sleeves and pitches in. Whether they’re helping Grandpa with deliveries, folding towels, stocking supplies, greeting customers, or simply making us smile, they remind us every day that Suds & Bubbles is about so much more than laundry—it’s about family, community, and building something we’re proud to pass on.

While our family is the reason behind our dream, it’s our incredible team that brings that dream to life every single day. They create the experience our customers know and love.
